Tucked right beside Campbell Elementary School - Anchorage's first STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) elementary school - Wolverine Park has become not simply a green space. It's transformed into a natural extension of the classroom, where textbook concepts come alive among the trees and grass.

The park doubles as an outdoor classroom where kids can get their hands dirty (in the best way possible) while learning about ecosystems and environmental science. Through collaborations with the Anchorage Park Foundation and local schools, students can trade fluorescent lighting for sunshine as they learn outdoors.

Picnic tables are scattered throughout, making this a great spot to unfold a checkered blanket and enjoy a sandwich with family or friends. There's plenty of open space for everything from birthday celebrations to casual meetups, giving the community a place to connect outside the confines of walls and roofs.

The park features a generous open grassy area that's great for tossing a frisbee, kicking a soccer ball, or simply stretching out with a good book.
