Situated in Burbank, California, Joaquin Miller Park is a cozy 1.4-acre green oasis that punches above its weight despite its modest size. This little neighborhood retreat offers a peaceful escape, located along E. Providencia Avenue for locals to enjoy.

History and Management

Since opening its gates in 1991, this little park has been a steadfast part of the Burbank community for over thirty years.

The Burbank Parks and Recreation Department keeps things running smoothly here, as they do across all 42 parks and facilities under their care throughout the city. The park is one of many green spaces throughout the city where residents can spend time outdoors.

In late 2021, the park got a significant facelift, trading in its older features for some fresh, modern amenities that better serve today's visitors.

Features and Design

Though compact, this park uses its space to include amenities for different age groups, from toddlers to adults.

The playground features a Wild West/mining town theme. The play structure includes slides and swings for various ages, and thankfully, there's plenty of shade to keep little ones cool during playtime adventures.

If you're feeling active, head over to the basketball courts for a quick game. When hunger strikes, the picnic area provides an excellent spot to enjoy an outdoor meal with family or friends.

A practical but much-appreciated feature is the clean restroom facilities - a real blessing if you're planning to spend a few hours at the park with children.

Operating Hours

You can visit Joaquin Miller Park from sunrise until 30 minutes after sunset, in accordance with Burbank Municipal Code 5-3-410. These hours help maintain the park as a safe community space while also respecting the peace and quiet of the surrounding residential neighborhood.
