Beach and Swimming Area

The sandy beach area along the lagoon offers a nice alternative for those who want to feel the sand between their toes without making the trek to the ocean. There's a roped-off swim area that's ideal for a cool dip, but you should note there's no lifeguard on duty, so keep an eye on the little ones.

One of the best things about swimming here is the calm water - no waves to worry about, making it a good spot for kids and less confident swimmers. Just be aware that water quality can change, and occasionally there are warning signs posted. When that happens, it's best to stay dry and enjoy the park's other offerings instead.

Secluded Setting

Tucked away behind residential homes, this park has a secluded feel to it. Many first-time visitors are surprised to discover such a tranquil spot in the middle of a neighborhood. A tip from the regulars: if you're planning to paddle out, aim for a morning session before noon. The winds typically pick up in the afternoon, making for choppier conditions. The exceptionally calm morning waters are great for beginners or anyone who prefers a gentle paddling experience.

Playgrounds

Families with kids will appreciate the two distinct playground areas that cater to different age groups. The red playground set on sand is ideal for children ages 2-5, offering age-appropriate challenges and fun.

For the really little ones, the playground on turf is better suited for toddlers under 2. Just a heads up - that turf can get pretty warm on hot days due to limited shade. It's most comfortable when temperatures stay below 80 degrees, so plan your visit accordingly if you have tiny explorers in tow.

Free parking is available in the park's lot, however it tends to fill quickly on weekends and holidays. The park welcomes visitors daily from 7AM to 10PM, giving you plenty of time to enjoy all it has to offer. Dogs are welcome too, as long as you clean up after your furry friends.
