This pocket-sized green space sits just northwest of where Post Street meets Edgewood Avenue, carrying with it a history that stretches back to 1928 when Jacksonville city officials had the foresight to purchase these lots and create something special for the community.

Roots in the Past

The story of Jasmine Park is woven into the fabric of the neighborhood itself. Take a stroll around the area and you'll notice streets like Cassat Avenue and Challen Avenue - names that tip their hat to the original investors of the Edgewood Company who mapped out this area back in the 1880s.

As time marched on, the northern part of Edgewood was reimagined as Murray Hill Heights in 1907. Later, a small section was redrawn once more in 1925, becoming what was known as Jasmine Place - lending its name to the park we know today.
