Positioned in Davenport's west end, Fejervary Park stretches across 75 acres of rolling green hills and leafy shade trees. Perched atop Division Street hill, the park offers some truly stunning views of the surrounding area. Since the early 1900s, this spacious green retreat has been where locals come to unwind and reconnect with nature without having to leave the city.

One of the park's treasures is the Fejervary Learning Center, where kids can explore nature-based play areas while actually learning something new. The center carries on the legacy of what locals once knew as Mother Goose Land, incorporating those classic nursery rhyme themes that many of us grew up with. That iconic Mother Goose figure? Still standing proud, capturing the imagination of a whole new generation of little ones.

Just note that the Learning Center typically only operates from late May through early September, with somewhat limited hours (especially on weekends). It's worth checking their current schedule before you head over.

When summer temperatures climb, the park's aquatic center becomes the place to be. With its zero-depth entry pool, water slides, and splash area, it's a good place to cool off without breaking the bank. The concessions and swimming fees won't empty your wallet either.

Beyond the main pool, you can find a charming small pond and a clever water play feature that transforms into a rock stream during warmer months - excellent for little ones who just want to dabble their toes.

The playground scene at Fejervary is thoughtfully designed with different age groups in mind. Restrooms with running water are available around the park, although they do close up during the colder months, so plan accordingly if you're visiting in winter.

During the Christmas season, Fejervary transforms with a holiday light show that's become something of a local tradition. The synchronized lights and music create a magical atmosphere that you can enjoy from the comfort of your car - just tune your radio to the designated station for the full 15-minute experience. The best part? It's completely free.
