The park hugs nearly half a mile of Mirror Pond - a widened section of the Deschutes created by a dam. True to its name, the pond's waters reflect the surrounding landscape, making it a popular spot for photographers and daydreamers alike.

The walking paths along the river, including a stretch of the Deschutes River Trail, provide nice views of the water. The park doubles as a mini wildlife sanctuary. A significant renovation in 2003 brought Drake Park into the 21st century with improved pathways, upgraded restrooms, better lighting, and additions like bike racks and designated picnic areas. More recent enhancements to the boardwalk and waterfront access have made the park even more inviting.

You'll discover clean restrooms, picnic tables scattered throughout the grounds, and a small amphitheater that hosts various performances. Water fountains are available when you need to refill your bottle after exploring.
