About the Location
Lakeside Getaway
Next to the shores of Lake Worth in Fort Worth, Texas, Arrow S. Park has been a go-to spot for outdoor enthusiasts since 1918. This public recreational area is one of the main gateways to the lake, perfect if you're looking to spend a day on the water.
Launch Your Adventure
If you're into boating, you'll appreciate the park's well-maintained boat ramp. This two-lane concrete launch can fit about 50 vehicles with trailers - plenty of space for weekend warriors and seasoned sailors alike. It's one of just four parks in the area offering direct lake access, and since it's operated by the City of Fort Worth, you can count on it being open year-round.
Take a Break
Need a breather between activities? Several picnic tables dot the landscape, offering a wonderful spot to enjoy a packed lunch with a side of lake views. There are portable toilets available (though no permanent restrooms, so plan accordingly).
Kids getting restless? Let them burn off some energy at the playground while you relax nearby. The open spaces around the lake create a peaceful backdrop for an afternoon picnic or a quiet moment of reflection.
Good to Know
This is strictly a day-use park - no overnight camping allowed. If you're planning to use the boat ramp, don't forget to display your valid boat ramp use sticker on your trailer.
The city offers different pricing options depending on whether you're a local, an out-of-towner, or just visiting for the week. And don't worry about parking - there's plenty of space, even if you're towing a boat.
Beyond Boating
Not bringing a boat? No problem. The park is a great spot for fishing along the shoreline. And your four-legged friends are welcome too - the park is dog-friendly, so feel free to bring them along for the adventure.
Connected to Nature
Arrow S. Park isn't an isolated spot - it's part of a growing network of outdoor spaces. The Lake Worth Trails project is being built in phases and will eventually connect this park to other recreational areas around the lake, including the broader Trinity Trails system. So while today's visit might be just about the lake, tomorrow could lead you on a much longer journey.
