Wright Brothers Park

Wright Brothers Park, formerly known as Overlook Park, is an urban park located in Montgomery, Alabama, United States. The park was renamed on July 2, 2013, in dedication to the Wright Brothers, pioneers of aviation. Situated along Maxwell Boulevard, the park offers scenic views of the Alabama River and the surrounding area.

The park underwent renovations and redecoration for its dedication in 2013. One of the notable features added during this renovation is a full-scale replica of the Wright Flyer, which is positioned above the Alabama River. This replica serves as a tribute to the Wright Brothers' contributions to aviation history.

Wright Brothers Park holds historical significance as it is near the site where the Wright Brothers operated their first civilian flying school in 1910. Although the school was short-lived due to weather and mechanical issues, it marks an important chapter in both Montgomery's and aviation history.
