About Dobson Ranch Park in Mesa
Dobson Ranch Park is a 14-acre public park located on Dobson Road in Mesa, Arizona. The park is part of the larger Dobson Ranch community and features a variety of recreational facilities and natural areas for visitors to enjoy.
A central feature of the park is its 10,000 square foot playground, which was designed to be accessible to children of all abilities. The playground includes multi-level play structures connected by ramps, toddler expression swings, a sandbox table, musical instruments, and a 50-foot zip line with a support seat. For safety and comfort, the entire playground area is covered by two sun shades and features a mix of rubber and wood chip flooring.
The park also includes a picturesque duck lake, which adds to its scenic appeal and provides opportunities for wildlife viewing. Surrounding the lake are walking paths where visitors can enjoy strolls and observe the local flora and fauna.
For sports enthusiasts, Dobson Ranch Park offers four half basketball courts. The park is also adjacent to the Dobson Ranch Golf Course, providing easy access for golfers.
Picnic facilities are available throughout the park, including shaded areas and ramadas that can be reserved in advance. However, there are no ramadas directly connected to the playground area.
The park was developed as part of a 2012 Parks Bond Project, with an investment of $610,000. The previous playground equipment from this site was donated to Mesa's Mexican Sister City, Guaymas.
Dobson Ranch Park is open daily from sunrise to 10 p.m., offering ample opportunity for community members and visitors to enjoy its amenities throughout the day.
