Tempe Beach Park

Tempe Beach Park, located in Tempe, Arizona, is a 25-acre urban oasis situated along the shores of Tempe Town Lake. Established in 1931, it is one of the oldest recreational parks in the city and has been a popular gathering place for the community for decades.

In 1999, the park underwent a significant renovation in conjunction with the creation of Tempe Town Lake. This revitalization project enhanced the park's amenities and expanded its recreational offerings. The park now attracts an estimated 2.4 million visitors each year, contributing significantly to the local economy.

One of the park's notable features is the Splash Playground, completed in 2002. This water play area provides a fun and safe environment for children to enjoy aquatic activities. Additionally, the park preserves some historical elements, such as the iconic cobblestone bleachers around the Tempe Beach Baseball Stadium, which were built in 1934 and are now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
