Friendship Park

Friendship Park is located in Yuma, Arizona, adjacent to a golf course. The park features a prominent water tower that serves as a local landmark. Constructed in the 1960s, the water tank has undergone renovations to maintain its functionality and appearance.

In 2003, the City of Yuma Public Works Department undertook a project to repaint the water tower, addressing the wear caused by the harsh desert sun and heat. The renovation involved lead abatement and the application of a new coating system, which included zinc-rich primer, polyurethane intermediate coat, and a fluoropolymer finish. This new coating system was chosen for its durability and long-term performance in the challenging desert environment.

The park's landscape includes open spaces suitable for various recreational activities. It serves as a public space for the residents of Yuma to enjoy outdoor leisure time.
