Walker Park

Walker Park, located in Fayetteville, Arkansas, is a significant community green space that has been serving residents since 1949. As the second park added to the city's park system, it has grown over the years to become Fayetteville's largest community park, spanning approximately 77.7 acres.

It features multiple sports facilities, including baseball fields, soccer fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, and sand volleyball courts. The park has been home to youth baseball in Fayetteville since the 1960s, when volunteers built the original baseball fields and concession stand.

The park includes a 1.2-mile paved walking path around its perimeter, providing an excellent opportunity for walking, jogging, and biking. The park includes a community mural painted on the exterior walls of the handball court, portraying the life and times of South Fayetteville dating back to the early 1800s. Upgrades to the baseball facilities, including new dugouts and bleacher covers, were completed in 2013, followed by improvements to the concession and restroom building in 2014.
