About Julpun community park in Antioch
Julpun Community Park is a newly developed 8.22-acre park located in Antioch, California. The park's name, pronounced "Hool-poon", pays homage to the indigenous Bay Miwok Native American Tribe, who were the original inhabitants of the Antioch and Oakley areas.
Situated near Sierra Trail Way and Summit View Way, Julpun Park is part of The Crest at Park Ridge housing development by Davidon Homes. The park was designed to serve not only the residents of the new neighborhoods but also the wider Antioch community.
Julpun Park offers a variety of recreational facilities spread across its grounds. The park features both active and passive recreation areas, catering to diverse interests and age groups. It is conveniently located adjacent to the Valeriano and Giuseppina Jacuzzi Knolls Open Space, a 25.51-acre area that provides additional outdoor recreational opportunities.
The park was dedicated in 2023, making it one of Antioch's newest public spaces. Its creation brings the total number of parks in Antioch to 34, further expanding the city's commitment to providing accessible green spaces for its residents.
