Mountain Hawk

Mountain Hawk Park is a 12-acre public park located in the Eastlake Vistas community of Chula Vista, California. Opened in 2006, the park sits atop a hill offering panoramic views of Lower Otay Lake and the surrounding mountains, providing visitors with a scenic backdrop for their recreational activities.

The park features a variety of facilities catering to different interests and age groups. For families with children, there are two playground areas: a Tot Lot designed for smaller children with equipment like small slides and a play structure, and a larger playground for older kids with amenities such as monkey bars, slides, and a climbing wall. A unique attraction is the interactive splash pad, open from April 1st to November 1st, which serves as a popular spot for children to cool off during warmer months.

For sports enthusiasts, Mountain Hawk Park offers a full-court basketball court and a large open grassy area that can be used as a soccer field. The park also includes a walking trail that circles the perimeter, providing opportunities for jogging, walking, or leisurely strolls while enjoying the park's natural beauty.

The park is well-equipped for gatherings and events, featuring three large shaded gazebos that can be reserved for private functions. These areas, along with picnic tables and BBQ grills scattered throughout the park, make it an ideal location for family picnics, community events, or casual outdoor meals.

Mountain Hawk Park is designed with accessibility in mind, offering amenities such as restrooms, water fountains, and a large parking lot with 50 spaces, including designated disabled parking spots. The park is open daily from 7 AM to 10 PM, allowing visitors to enjoy its facilities throughout the day.
