Meadow Homes Park

Meadow Homes Park is a 12-acre public recreational area located at the northwest corner of Sunshine Drive and Detroit Avenue in Concord, California, adjacent to Meadow Homes School. The park serves as a popular community gathering spot, particularly during warm summer days.

In 2017, after a four-year community effort and a $1.1 million investment, Meadow Homes Park received significant upgrades, including new play structures and a spray park. The spray park has become a major attraction, featuring separate water play areas designed for different age groups: tots, tweens, and teens.

The park's layout includes multi-use sports fields and a gravel track suitable for exercise enthusiasts of all ages. For those seeking relaxation or social gatherings, Meadow Homes Park offers two reservable group picnic areas with barbecue facilities. One of these areas is located inside the spray park, while the other features a covered shade shelter.

During the summer months, the spray park operates daily from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Once the school year begins in August, the hours adjust to 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on school days, while maintaining the 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. schedule on weekends until the last Sunday in September.
