Pacific Community Center & Park in Glendale, California, is a versatile neighborhood park and community center that serves the residents of South Glendale. The park spans approximately 5.30 acres and is open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily.
The community center, which opened its doors to the public on September 3, 2003, offers a range of facilities and programs designed to promote wellness, learning, growth, and socialization opportunities for people of all ages. The center's operating hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Friday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is available for rentals only on Sundays.
Indoor facilities at the community center include a multi-purpose gymnasium, computer lab, arts and science room, game room, conference room, and various meeting rooms. These spaces can accommodate groups ranging from eight to 700 guests, making them suitable for company meetings, classes, small parties, lectures, tutorials, and special events.
The outdoor park area features several recreational amenities, including a little league ball field, a multi-purpose field, a multi-purpose court, a children's playground, and a water-play area. There is also a group picnic area available for community gatherings.
Pacific Community Center & Park also boasts pickleball facilities, with a total of seven courts – four indoor and three outdoor. These courts are equipped with permanent lines and portable nets, making them suitable for both recreational play and tournaments.
The park complex includes Pacific Community Pool, which is open year-round and offers various aquatic activities such as recreation swim, lap swim, swimming lessons, and competitive team practices.
To encourage community engagement and physical activity, the center offers an Activity Card program. This card allows individuals to participate in drop-in activities like basketball, volleyball, pickleball, soccer, and youth dodgeball. The Activity Card is free for youth, while adults (18 years and older) pay a fee of $25.00 per year, and seniors (60 years and older) pay $10.00 per year.
