Shadow Rock Park

Shadow Rock Park is a 20-acre recreational area nestled at the base of a cliff in Jurupa Valley, California. The park serves as the centerpiece of the Shadow Rock masterplan residential community, offering a blend of natural beauty and modern amenities.

The park's location provides a unique backdrop, as it is cast under the morning shadow of the Jensen Quarry, a popular Southern California rock-climbing destination. This setting inspired some of the park's features, including climbing-themed play areas.

Shadow Rock Park caters to a variety of recreational needs and interests. It includes lighted turf sports fields for active play and organized sports, as well as a basketball court for those looking to shoot some hoops. For pet owners, the park features both small and large dog parks, allowing canine companions to exercise and socialize.

Visitors can enjoy leisurely activities in the park's plaza area and picnic spots, perfect for gatherings and outdoor meals. For those seeking a more active experience, a jogging trail winds through the park, offering opportunities for exercise and enjoying the scenery.

One of the park's standout features is its large tot lot, which embraces the "rock climbing" theme. This play area offers children various climbing apparatuses and adrenaline-rush challenges. These include an upper and lower sloped play surface with ropes and slides, an elevated spire climbing structure, a zip line, a shaded all-inclusive play structure, swings, and even a kid-sized rock-climbing wall.

Shadow Rock Park opened to the public in March 2023, providing a new outdoor space for the community to enjoy.
