About Westwind Park in Ontario
Westwind Park is a 23-acre public recreational facility located on East Riverside Drive in Ontario, California. Constructed in 1998, the park offers a variety of amenities and activities for residents and visitors.
The centerpiece of Westwind Park is the 28,000-square-foot Westwind Community Center, which opened in 1990. This building houses a large gymnasium suitable for basketball and volleyball games, as well as a game room equipped with billiards, foosball, and ping pong tables. The community center also features a multi-purpose meeting room used for various events and gatherings.
Outside the community center, park visitors can enjoy a 2,400-square-foot swimming pool, providing a refreshing escape during hot summer months. The park grounds include well-maintained baseball/softball fields and soccer fields, making it a popular destination for local sports leagues and casual games. Basketball courts are also available for those who prefer shooting hoops.
Westwind Park is known for hosting Ontario's annual Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular, which takes place at the park's lighted Little League fields and softball fields. The event draws large crowds from the surrounding areas to celebrate Independence Day.
