Gwinn Park

Gwinn Park is a 2.7-acre neighborhood park located at the intersection of Orange Grove Boulevard and Sunnyslope Avenue in Pasadena, California. The park features an open grass area dotted with numerous young trees, providing a serene green space within the suburban landscape.

Originally part of a larger park called Eaton Sunnyslope, Gwinn Park was separated and dedicated to Pasadena Mayor Floyd O. Gwinn by the Pasadena Beautification Foundation in 1972. The park's southern portion was named after the mayor, while the northern section retained the name Eaton Sunnyslope Park.

The park offers a vast lawn area with a variety of indigenous trees planted along its perimeter. These trees, some of which are very tall with dense foliage, provide cool shade during the summer months. The center clearing of the park is spacious enough to accommodate activities like soccer, though it is often described as a quiet place perfect for reading, listening to the radio, or simply relaxing.
