Gilbert A. & Helen K. Duran Park is a charming neighborhood park located in Roseville, California. Dedicated in 2014, this 2.5-acre park sits between the Wal-Mart and Sam's Club shopping center and an open space area along Pleasant Grove Boulevard.
The park is named after Gilbert A. and Helen K. Duran, who made significant contributions to the Roseville community. Gilbert served as a Roseville City School District teacher and later on the Roseville City Council and school board. He also established an antipoverty program that spread to surrounding cities. Helen was a teacher for the Roseville City School District for over 30 years and later served on the school board. She was known for creating scholarship programs for high school students.
