Mahany Park is an expansive community park located in Roseville, California, at the corner of Pleasant Grove Boulevard and Woodcreek Oaks Boulevard. Spanning 92 acres, this multifaceted park serves as an active community hub throughout the year, offering a wide range of recreational facilities and natural spaces.
The park features a diverse array of athletic fields, including two lighted softball fields and a four-field lighted baseball complex. The baseball complex comprises three youth baseball fields and one youth/adult 90' baseball diamond. Tennis courts are also available within the park grounds, situated behind the Roseville Aquatics Complex.
Mahany Park is home to several notable facilities. The Roseville Sports Center, now known as the Mahany Fitness Center, offers a cardio and weights room, group exercise classes, and a full-size gymnasium. The Martha Riley Community Library provides quiet study spaces, a children's area, and hosts various community events. The Roseville Aquatics Complex, featuring indoor and outdoor pools, is another key attraction within the park.
For families and children, Mahany Park houses Project Play, a universally accessible playground designed for people of all abilities. The park also incorporates nature trails, allowing visitors to explore and enjoy the natural surroundings.
In addition to its recreational facilities, Mahany Park includes areas of open space preserve. This section contains sensitive habitats such as wetlands, vernal pools, and seasonal streams, providing a home to various plants and animals. The City of Roseville has been studying the feasibility of developing a paved multi-use trail within this open space to connect with existing and proposed paved trails nearby.
The park opens at sunrise and closes one hour after sunset, offering ample time for visitors to enjoy its numerous amenities throughout the day.
