Blackbird Park is a 9.93-acre community park located in the North Natomas area of Sacramento, California. The park, which opened in 2021, offers a variety of recreational facilities and amenities for local residents and visitors.
The park features large grassy areas that provide ample space for various activities and games. While the park is well-maintained, it currently lacks mature shade trees, which can make it quite warm during hot weather. Visitors should note that there are no restroom facilities available on-site.
For sports enthusiasts, Blackbird Park includes a 300-foot baseball field equipped with team dugouts, bullpens, bleachers, and a scoring table. This makes it an ideal location for organized baseball games and practices.
Dog owners will appreciate the two dedicated dog parks within Blackbird Park. There is a half-acre area for small dogs and a larger 1.6-acre space for bigger breeds, allowing pets to play and socialize off-leash in a safe environment.
The park also caters to gardening enthusiasts with its community garden. This area contains approximately 58 standard plots and 4 ADA-accessible plots, along with a common area, compost bins, a storage shed with community tools, and two tables.
