Anne Shirrells Park

Anne Shirrells Park is a 12-acre public park located in San Bernardino, California. The park is named after Anne Shirrells, a former city councilwoman who played a significant role in its development. Situated at the intersection of California Street and Baseline Street, the park serves as a recreational hub for the local community.

The park features a variety of sports facilities, including a lighted Little League baseball field with a concession stand, press box, and restrooms. For basketball enthusiasts, there are two courts available. Fitness-minded visitors can take advantage of the quarter-mile walking track that encircles the park, providing a convenient space for exercise and leisurely strolls.

Families with children will appreciate the playground area, which offers a safe and enjoyable space for kids to play. The park also includes two picnic shelters, making it an ideal location for community gatherings, family picnics, and outdoor events. Additionally, there are 13 picnic tables and 9 barbecue grills scattered throughout the grounds, allowing visitors to enjoy meals in the open air.

With 14 benches placed around the park, there are plenty of spots for relaxation and enjoying the surroundings.

The park is open year-round, with specific hours depending on the season. During the spring and summer months (starting April 1), the park is open from 6 am to 8 pm. In the fall and winter months (starting October 1), the park closes earlier, from 6 pm to 6 am.
