Berryessa Creek Park

Berryessa Creek Park is a 13.5-acre public park located in northeastern San Jose, California. The park is situated along its namesake Berryessa Creek, a seasonal waterway that flows through the area.

The park features open grassy areas and serves as a local recreational space for the surrounding Berryessa neighborhood. It provides a natural corridor along the creek, offering visitors a chance to experience some green space within the urban environment.

While relatively modest in size, Berryessa Creek Park contains playgrounds for children of different age groups. There is a playground designed for children ages 2-5, as well as a separate playground area for children ages 5-12. This allows families with kids of various ages to find appropriate play equipment.

In addition to the playgrounds, the park includes some sports facilities. There is an unlighted softball field that can be used for casual games or practice. The park also has an exercise course, providing options for visitors looking to get some physical activity.

As a linear park following the creek, Berryessa Creek Park is identified as part of a potential future trail corridor to serve northeast San Jose. While not yet fully developed, there are plans to potentially extend a trail between Piedmont Road and Morrill Road along the creek in the future.
