Memorial Park

Memorial Park is a 16.3-acre city park located in the central-south area of Santa Ana, California. Established in May 1950, it was dedicated by former Governor Earl Warren as a "living memorial for future generations to honor the heroic lives who carried the battle for democracy".

The park features a mix of recreational facilities and green spaces. It includes picnic areas, sports courts, and playground equipment for children. One of the park's notable features is its swimming pool, which has been a part of the park since its original 1956 installation. However, as of 2024, the pool is undergoing a major renovation project to create a new aquatics center.

Memorial Park also houses a community center, which provides space for various community activities and programs. The park's landscape includes green lawns and trees, offering visitors a pleasant environment for relaxation and outdoor activities.

In recent years, the park has been undergoing significant improvements. A new aquatics center project is in progress, which will include a complete demolition and rebuilding of the existing aquatics facility. The new center will feature two swimming pools: a 25m x 25yd competition pool and a recreational pool.

The park serves as an important community space in Santa Ana, providing residents with opportunities for recreation, sports, and community gatherings. Its central location makes it easily accessible to many residents in the area.
