Lagoon Valley Regional Park

Lagoon Valley Park is a expansive 470-acre natural area located just off I-80 in Vacaville, California. The park is centered around a 100-acre lagoon, which allows for non-motorized boating and fishing activities.

The park features an extensive network of multi-use trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding that wind through grassy hills, oak woodlands, and open meadows. These trails provide access to sweeping views of the surrounding landscape and connect to additional open space areas beyond the park boundaries.

Lagoon Valley Park has a rich history, with the land being inhabited by Native Americans until the 1800s before being settled by pioneers. Today, visitors can explore an old cemetery located within the park as well as the historic Peña Adobe, one of the oldest structures in Solano County.

The park offers diverse recreational opportunities beyond just trail use. There is a 27-hole disc golf course, an archery range, and a large fenced dog park. For families and groups, the park provides picnic areas with barbecue grills, horseshoe pits, and a rentable picnic shelter near the lake and playground.

Lagoon Valley Park serves as an important habitat for local wildlife and plant species. The park's wetlands, grasslands, and oak groves support a variety of birds, mammals, and other creatures. The lagoon itself attracts numerous waterfowl and shorebirds.
