About Eva Dell Park in Victorville
Eva Dell Park is one of the oldest parks in Victorville, California. Located in the Old Town area, this recreational space has been identified as one of the parks most in need of renovation according to the city's recent Park and Recreation Master Plan.
In December 2021, the City of Victorville was awarded a $3.3 million grant from the California Department of Parks and Recreation to renovate Eva Dell Park. The funds, made available through the Proposition 68 Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program, will be used to increase inclusivity and expand offerings at the park.
The renovation plans, scheduled to begin at the end of 2022 and expected to be completed in late 2024, include several upgrades and additions to the park's existing features. These improvements aim to enhance the quality of life for the community, particularly in the Old Town area.
Eva Dell Park offers various recreational opportunities for visitors. The park features softball fields and a playground, as well as grassy, shaded areas suitable for picnics. The renovation project will further enhance these offerings, making the park more accessible and enjoyable for all community members.
