Fredrick Law Olmsted, Jr. Park

Frederick Law Olmsted, Jr. Park is a neighborhood park located in Boulder, Colorado, adjacent to the North Boulder Recreation Center. The park was named after Frederick Law Olmsted Jr., a renowned landscape architect who played a significant role in shaping Boulder's urban planning and park system in the early 20th century.

In 1907, the Boulder City Improvement Association hired Olmsted Jr. to prepare a report on the beautification and development of Boulder. His vision for the city included a comprehensive park system that would provide residents with access to nature and recreational opportunities. While not all of his plans were implemented, his influence can still be seen in Boulder's current park system, including this park that bears his name.
