Library Park

Library Park is a public green space located in Fort Collins, Colorado. Situated adjacent to the Old Town Library, this park serves as a central gathering place for the community. The park features several historical structures, including the 1864 Auntie Stone Cabin and the 1858 Antoine Janis Cabin, which are among the oldest European structures in the area.

The park underwent renovation in 2020, updating its playground facilities to be more inclusive and accessible. The new playground design incorporates literacy-themed elements, reflecting its proximity to the library. Features include climbable book structures, book shelf stairs, and animals floating on book "boats" on an inclusive merry-go-round.

Library Park hosts various community events throughout the year, particularly during the summer months. Its central location and proximity to the library make it a popular spot for outdoor reading, picnics, and leisure activities. The park's design includes walking paths, shaded areas, and open green spaces, providing a balance of recreational opportunities and quiet relaxation spots.

The park also serves as an outdoor extension of the library's services, sometimes hosting outdoor programs and activities that complement the library's mission of fostering literacy and community engagement.
