Peak View Park

Peak View Park is a newly developed open space located in Lakewood, Colorado. The park comprises approximately 60 acres of land that was formerly known as the "Taylor Estate" before being acquired by the City of Lakewood in 2018 with assistance from Jefferson County Open Space.

Designed as a passive-use open space, Peak View Park offers visitors a place to recreate and enjoy scenic views. The park features both hard and natural surface trails, allowing for various outdoor activities. A trailhead and parking lot are situated at the intersection of South Wadsworth Boulevard and Morrison Road, providing convenient access for visitors.

The park's name, "Peak View," was selected by local residents in recognition of the views it offers of Pikes Peak. This naming process was part of the community engagement efforts during the park's development phase.

Peak View Park opened to the public on July 7, 2023, marking the completion of its initial development phase. As of February 2024, intersection improvements are underway at South Wadsworth Boulevard and Morrison Road to enhance access to the park.
