About Walker Branch Park in Lakewood
Walker-Branch Park is a unique 14-acre community park jointly owned by the cities of Lakewood and Edgewater in Colorado. The park straddles the border between the two municipalities, serving diverse communities in both areas.
The park is situated in Ward 2 of the City of Lakewood and is home to the Edgewater Civic Center. It stretches roughly from W 18th Avenue and the Edgewater Civic Center to W 16th Avenue in Lakewood, between Harlan and Fenton Streets.
Walker-Branch Park offers a variety of recreational facilities for visitors of all ages. It features a popular skatepark, three play areas, volleyball courts, field space, and shelters for small gatherings and shade. The park also includes a ball field, picnic facilities, a basketball court, and horseshoe pits.
Recently, the City of Lakewood, the City of Edgewater, and Livable Cities Studio have collaborated to develop a master plan for revitalizing Walker-Branch Park.
