Wolf Lake Park is a 50-acre neighborhood passive park located in Davie, Florida. The park's centerpiece is a large lake surrounded by a multipurpose trail, providing visitors with opportunities for walking, jogging, and horseback riding. The trail is almost entirely shaded by a canopy of tall Australian pine trees, offering a cool respite from the Florida sun.
The park features a wading area for horses and multiple fishing spots around the lake, making it a popular destination for equestrians and anglers. While swimming is not permitted, visitors are allowed to use non-motorized boats and canoes on the lake.
Wolf Lake Park offers several picnic areas with tables scattered along the trail, allowing visitors to enjoy meals amidst nature. For larger gatherings, the park has a pavilion and a small meeting room available for rental. These facilities can accommodate up to 90 people, making them suitable for various events and gatherings.
Acquired by the town of Davie in January 1990 as part of its Open Space program, Wolf Lake Park serves as a natural oasis in the midst of urban development. The park is accessible via SW 76th Avenue or SW 73rd Avenue and provides some parking for horse trailers, reflecting the area's equestrian heritage.
The park is open daily from 9 a.m. until sunset, offering visitors ample time to enjoy its natural beauty and recreational facilities. A park ranger lives on-site, ensuring the safety and maintenance of the area.
