Duval Park

Duval Park is a nature-oriented recreational area located in East Gainesville's Duval neighborhood. The park's centerpiece is a 2-acre stormwater pond, constructed in 2010 to improve the health of Lake Forest Creek and Newnan's Lake. This water feature serves both an ecological function and provides an attractive focal point for visitors.

The park offers a network of trails that wind through the surrounding wooded areas, allowing visitors to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Recent improvements to Duval Park, initiated in 2024, include the addition of new amenities to enhance visitor experience. These upgrades encompass the construction of an asphalt parking lot at the entrance on NE 24th Street, the development of a new walking trail circling the existing stormwater pond, and the installation of a playground. The park improvements also include the creation of a pedestrian entrance connecting the neighborhood to the north and new signage throughout the park.
