About Young Circle Park in Hollywood
ArtsPark at Young Circle is a 10-acre public park located in downtown Hollywood, Florida. Situated at the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and US-1, the park occupies a circular area that serves as a central hub for the city. Dedicated in March 2007, ArtsPark was developed as part of a community cultural initiative to provide residents and visitors with a space for arts, recreation, and entertainment.
The park's design incorporates both natural and constructed landscapes, blending green spaces with artistic elements. A notable feature is the Millennium Springs fountain, created by Japanese artist Ritsuko Taho in collaboration with the park's designer. This fountain is connected to one of five large baobab trees in the park through striped walkways, symbolizing a connection between water and natural energy.
ArtsPark offers a variety of facilities catering to different interests and age groups. The Visual Arts Pavilion houses studios where visitors can observe professional artists at work, particularly glass blowing demonstrations. An art gallery within the park showcases rotating exhibits featuring local, national, and international artists.
For performances and events, the park features an amphitheater with a 60' x 40' main stage and lawn seating for up to 2,500 people. This venue hosts free weekly concerts, movies, and various cultural events throughout the year. Families with children can enjoy the playground area, which includes innovative play equipment and a popular splash pad.
The park also serves as a recreational space with a lighted walking path measuring 0.423 miles in length. Open green areas provide spots for picnics and relaxation. Additionally, ArtsPark includes a designated off-leash area for dogs, subject to specific rules and hours of operation.
ArtsPark at Young Circle stands as a multifunctional urban space, designed to foster community engagement, promote the arts, and provide recreational opportunities for residents and visitors of Hollywood, Florida.
