About Glen Myra Park in Jacksonville

Glen Myra Park is a neighborhood park located in Jacksonville, Florida. The park originally started with 20 lots covering 3.5 acres, but lost 5 lots due to the expansion of Haines Street.

The park's history dates back to 1922 when the White House Land and Lumber Company sold 12 lots to the City of Jacksonville for $5,800. Additional lots were acquired in 1940 and 1942. In 1993, a community center was constructed in the park after years of planning.

In 2001-2002, the park underwent improvements including the addition of lighting, walking paths, landscaping, decorative fencing, benches, and a water feature. Today, Glen Myra Park serves as a recreational space for the surrounding community, offering various amenities for visitors to enjoy.
