About Moore Park in Miami

Moore Park is a 15.2-acre urban park located in the Allapattah neighborhood of Miami, Florida. The park has a rich history, dating back to the 1930s when it hosted Orange Bowl games and parades. In recent years, the park has undergone significant renovations to create a modern community space.

The park features a variety of athletic facilities, including 11 tennis courts, two basketball courts, a baseball field, and a running track surrounding a football field. The track and field area is known as Orange Bowl Field, renovated in 2011 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Orange Bowl.

Moore Park also includes a community center and daycare facility. The community center houses administrative offices, multipurpose spaces with a commercial kitchen, computer rooms, arts and crafts rooms, and exercise areas. The daycare center can accommodate up to 45 children and has an outdoor playground.

The park provides open plaza and courtyard areas, green gathering spaces with shelter pavilions for outdoor events, and barbecue grill stations. To enhance the park's natural beauty, new tree species have been planted throughout the grounds.

As part of its commitment to sustainability, Moore Park's community center has achieved LEED Gold certification, demonstrating environmentally friendly design and operation practices.
