Greenwood Urban Wetlands

Greenwood Urban Wetlands is a 19-acre park located in downtown Orlando, Florida. Created in 1991, this urban oasis serves as both a natural preserve and a stormwater treatment facility. The park is situated adjacent to Greenwood Cemetery, providing a tranquil green space in the heart of the city.

The wetlands feature a diverse ecosystem, home to various species of waterfowl and other birds. Visitors can observe local wildlife while walking along the path that circles the central lake. Tall cypress trees line the waterways, contributing to the park's natural beauty and providing shade for visitors.

Greenwood Urban Wetlands offers a 0.5-mile loop trail, known as the Lake Greenwood trail, which is popular among walkers and runners. The trail is mostly flat and composed of compacted sand-shell material, making it accessible for most visitors in good weather conditions.
