Veterans Memorial Park is a 2.5-acre park located in Port St. Lucie, Florida, dedicated to honoring military veterans. Opened in 1995, the park is designed in the shape of a pentagon, with each of its five points representing a different branch of the U.S. military service.
The centerpiece of the park is a pentagon-shaped memorial featuring flags and emblems of the military branches. The park includes several other memorials, including those dedicated to veterans of World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. A Purple Heart memorial is also present, honoring those who were wounded or killed in service.
In 2022, the park added two new memorials to honor veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. The park provides a quiet, reflective space for visitors to pay respects to military service members. It is designed to be accessible, with paved walkways and ample lighting for evening visits.
Veterans Memorial Park serves as an educational site, offering visitors a chronological walk through American military history. The park is open 24 hours a day, allowing for visitation at any time, and includes parking facilities for easy access.
