Hardy Ivy Park

Hardy Ivy Park is a small pocket park located in downtown Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The park occupies a triangular plot of land at the intersection of Peachtree Street and West Peachtree Street. Named after Hardy Ivy, who is generally considered the first person of European descent to settle in what is now Atlanta, the park serves as a green space in the bustling urban environment.

The park features the Carnegie Education Pavilion, which was relocated to this site in the late 1990s. This structure adds a historical element to the park and serves as a focal point for visitors. In 2011, the plaza within the park was officially renamed the Xernona Clayton Plaza in honor of civil rights leader Xernona Clayton, further emphasizing the park's connection to local history.

Hardy Ivy Park, despite its small size, provides a brief respite from the surrounding cityscape. It offers a place for downtown workers, residents, and visitors to take a short break or enjoy a quick outdoor lunch. The park's location at the divergence of two major streets makes it a recognizable landmark in the area.
