About Bear Creek Park in Meridian
Bear Creek Park is a 19-acre community park located in southwest Meridian, Idaho, adjacent to the Bear Creek subdivision. Established in 2002, the park offers a variety of recreational facilities and amenities for visitors of all ages.
The park features two reservable adult softball fields that are not illuminated, as well as one reservable multi-use athletic field. These facilities can be rented at a rate of $5 per half hour or a maximum of $75 for the day. For basketball enthusiasts, there are two non-reservable half-court basketball courts available.
One unique feature of Bear Creek Park is its seasonal 9-hole disc golf course. This course is typically operational from October 1st through March 15th each year, providing winter recreation opportunities for disc golf enthusiasts.
The park includes open play areas and pathways, allowing visitors to enjoy leisurely walks or engage in various outdoor activities. For families with children, there is a playground area where kids can play and expend their energy.
Bear Creek Park also offers picnic facilities, including a reservable picnic shelter with a maximum capacity of 100 people. The shelter can be rented for $50 plus tax per 4-hour time block, either from 9am to 2pm or 4pm to 9pm. When not reserved, the shelter is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
To ensure visitor comfort, the park is equipped with restroom facilities and drinking fountains. There are also trash receptacles and Mutt Mitt stations for pet owners to maintain the cleanliness of the park.
