Trout Park

Trout Park, located in Elgin, Illinois, spans 44 acres and is distinguished by its rich historical significance and diverse natural features. Originally established in the 1920s as a picnic grove and amusement park, it has transformed over the decades into a designated Illinois Nature Preserve, offering a unique blend of recreational and ecological opportunities. The upper portion of the park features trails that wind through a remarkable grouping of white cedar trees, which thrive in the unique fen environment of the area.
