The Evansville State Hospital Grounds is an expansive and tranquil area located on the east side of Evansville, Indiana. The grounds cover approximately 88 acres and are situated beside the Evansville State Hospital. This park-like space is well-known for its wooded landscape and serene environment, making it a favorite spot for local residents to engage in outdoor activities.

The property features a small scenic lake along Lincoln Avenue, where visitors often walk their dogs or enjoy peaceful strolls. There are walking and running routes spread throughout the area, catering to fitness enthusiasts and casual walkers alike. Once called "Woodmere," the grounds have a rich history tied to the development of the Evansville State Hospital, which was originally established in 1890 as the Southern Indiana Hospital for the Insane.
