John Ed Park

John Ed Park, located at 2000 Roosevelt Avenue on the northeast side of Indianapolis, Indiana, was established in 1925 and spans 3.68 acres. This compact urban park serves as a recreational space for the community and is part of the Indianapolis Parks system. Over the years, it has hosted a playground and basketball court, providing basic amenities for outdoor play and exercise.

However, as of recently, the park has been undergoing significant changes. It has been fenced off for planned improvements, as part of Indianapolis's investment in renovating public park spaces. Construction and enhancements are scheduled under the funding from the American Rescue Plan, with a new playground expected to be completed by the end of the year. This project is part of a larger effort by the city to revitalize community parks that have seen years of limited investment.
