Matney Park is a 10-acre public recreation area located in Castle Rock, Colorado. The park offers a variety of outdoor activities and amenities for visitors of all ages.
The park features paved bike paths that wind through the grounds, providing opportunities for cycling, walking, and jogging. For sports enthusiasts, there is a multi-use court that can accommodate basketball and other activities. Additionally, the park boasts an 18-hole disc golf course, allowing visitors to enjoy this increasingly popular sport.
Matney Park includes playground equipment suitable for children aged 5 to 12 years old, providing a safe and fun environment for younger visitors. The park also offers horseshoe pits for those interested in more traditional outdoor games.
For gatherings and picnics, the park provides several options. There is one large pavilion available for reservation, as well as two smaller pavilions that are open for general use. These structures offer shelter and seating for visitors, with the large pavilion including electricity and ten square tables that can accommodate six to eight people each.
The park is designed to be accessible to all visitors, with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant features throughout the grounds. For convenience, portable restroom facilities are available on-site.
