About Otis Park in Wichita

Otis Park is a small public park located in the Midtown neighborhood of Wichita, Kansas. The park occupies 0.54 acres at the intersection of North Market Street and 13th Street, along the former path of a railroad line.

The land for Otis Park was originally owned by L.W. Clapp, who sold it to the city of Wichita in 1907 while serving as City Manager. This makes Otis Park one of the oldest parks in Wichita's park system.

Otis Park provides green space and recreational amenities for the surrounding residential area. It features plantings and landscaping that enhance the natural environment. The park offers a place for local residents to relax, exercise, and enjoy outdoor activities.

Otis Park is maintained by the Wichita Park and Recreation Department as part of the city's network of neighborhood parks. Its location near the center of Wichita makes it accessible to many residents of the Midtown area.
