Cessna Park

Cessna East Park is a versatile recreational facility located in Wichita, Kansas, divided into two triangular areas by the Kansas Turnpike. The park, donated by the Cessna Aircraft Company in 1960, is known for its sports and outdoor amenities, catering to visitors of all ages. The northeast portion of the park focuses primarily on sports with facilities such as basketball courts, tennis courts, and lighted baseball/softball diamonds. In contrast, the southwest area is more oriented towards leisure and picnicking.

One of the park's highlights is the connection to the Gypsum Creek Bicycle Path, a 6.5-mile trail running through scenic areas, making it suitable for runners, cyclists, and nature enthusiasts. Additionally, Cessna East Park features a playground with a sand safety surface, making it a family-friendly destination. Visitors can also enjoy a disc golf course, picnic shelters scattered throughout the park, and an open shelter equipped with lighting and electrical receptacles for gatherings.
