Granger Meadows Park

Granger Meadows Park, located in DeWitt Township near Lansing, Michigan, is a unique recreational facility spanning 76 acres. It offers a variety of year-round activities and amenities, blending natural beauty with thoughtfully designed spaces. The park’s landscape reflects the agrarian heritage of the area, featuring rolling berms covered in meadow grasses, a small orchard, and earth-toned buildings that echo a rural farm aesthetic.

One of the standout features of Granger Meadows Park is its versatility for seasonal activities. In winter, visitors can enjoy a 70-foot-high sledding hill with three different slopes, as well as cross-country skiing. During warmer months, the park serves as a hub for outdoor sports and leisure. Its 4,500 feet of mulched trails and 9,300 feet of paved and lighted trails make it an excellent destination for walking, jogging, and biking. The paved trails also connect to Valley Farms Park, adding to its accessibility.

The park is well-equipped for various recreational needs. It features an adult softball diamond, basketball courts, and playgrounds, making it suitable for both children and adults. More unique attractions include a koi pond and an inline skating rink. For gathering and relaxation, visitors can use the three picnic pavilions equipped with grills, picnic tables, and a warming room. The park also boasts barrier-free ADA-accessible facilities, including restrooms and parking.

Granger Meadows Park is a result of a private-public partnership, donated by Granger III and Associates in 2005, and remains a cherished community space for enjoying the outdoors, hosting family events, or simply unwinding amid nature.
