Fairview Park, located in Columbia, Missouri, is a 27.2-acre community park situated near Fairview Elementary School and bordered by Fairview Road. It is a multi-use public park that offers several amenities catering to recreational and sports activities as well as family gatherings. The park is open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The park is known for its mix of wooded areas on the eastern side and open spaces on the western side. It features a variety of activities, including a beginner-friendly, 9-hole disc golf course with concrete tee pads, accessible signage, and new DISCatcher baskets. The disc golf course is cart- and stroller-friendly, although certain areas may pose challenges for users with limited mobility. Additionally, Fairview Park houses four tennis courts, a junior and a regular soccer practice field, and a playground that accommodates children of all ages.
For nature enthusiasts, the park provides a short, half-mile nature trail and connects to the Scott’s Branch Trail, extending the possibilities for walking and running. Garden plots are also available for rent within the park, making it a draw for community members with an interest in gardening.
Fairview Park has excellent facilities for picnics and events, including a reservable shelter that accommodates up to 80 people. The shelter is equipped with lights, electricity, picnic tables (one ADA-accessible), and an ADA double BBQ grill. Drinking water, restroom facilities, and a parking area shared with Fairview Elementary School are also available for added convenience.
