Blue Valley Park, located in Kansas City, Missouri, spans a sizable area between East 23rd Street and 27th Street, Topping Avenue, and the Blue River. Officially named in 1945, it encompasses a rich history tied to the region, including early settlements and its role in supporting World War II veterans with temporary housing. The park's features have evolved significantly over the years, transitioning from a modest area of natural beauty to a community hub with extensive recreational facilities.

Among its highlights, Blue Valley Park hosts a Frisbee Golf Course added in 2008, a renovated ball diamond, picnic areas, playgrounds, and a concession stand honoring local community contributors. A water playground was installed in 2010, replacing a malfunctioning fountain that once commemorated the U.S. Bicentennial. In addition to these recreational options, the park has a connection to the Santa Fe Trail, which traverses the area and offers historical significance.

Recent improvements underscore efforts to integrate urban trails, water management systems, and natural area restoration. This initiative, completed in 2020, included adding trails, creating prairie wetlands, and installing a bioswale to channel rainwater.
