About Chouteau Park in St Louis

Chouteau Park is a 2.8-acre city park located in the Forest Park Southeast neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. Dedicated in 2008, it is one of the newer parks in the city's park system. The park sits between Interstate 64 (Highway 40) and Chouteau Avenue.

Chouteau Park is currently in development, with plans for further improvements. As of now, it consists largely of a graded open field. The park's design, created by H3 studios in 2009, includes plans for a multipurpose sports field, playground, and outdoor amphitheater. The park is also set to feature a rain garden to help reduce water runoff into the sewer system.

Recent updates to the park include the addition of a classic St. Louis park sign and newly planted trees. While not yet fully realized, Chouteau Park aims to serve as a recreational space for residents of the Forest Park Southeast area, also known as "The Grove".
